Bayern 'Only' League Champion, Ancelotti Blames Injured Players




Munich - Bayern Munich lacks title this season. Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti rate it because of an injury storm that approached the main players.

However, Bayern did not go through this season smoothly. Following the alternating injuries suffered by Robert Lewandowski, Mats Hummels, and Jerome Boateng.

"We are analyzing this season and you can say that this season is going well," Ancelotti said in Soccer Way. "In the end the players finished the season in good physical condition."

"However in key phases, we are less fortunate with injuries to Lewandoski, Hummels, and Boateng."

"I've told the players that I'm very excited to train them, they've always been very professional, they've never been a problem for me."

"This is my first trophy here, every victory is important and makes you happy," added Ancelotti.


Bayern will close this season by diving the Bundesliga's final game against Freiburg at the Allianz Arena on Saturday (05/20/2017). This match also became a separation for the defender as well as Bayern captain Philipp Lahm and senior midfielder Xabi Alonso, who decided to retire.
