Like last season, City will still pursue the Best Young Talents

LEAPYGUIDE.COMManchester City are ready to go back to undertake big bids. Their main concern is still the same: chasing the best young talents.

Last season the arrival of Pep Guardiola followed by big spending in the transfer market. John Stones, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Guendogan, Nolito, and Claudio Bravo are a number of names in between.

Of the recruits, the Stones, Sane, and Jesus are strong signals that City is focusing on pursuing young talents. The Stones, the oldest of the three players are 23 years old, while Sane and Jesus are just 21 and 19 years in a row.

For next season the approach is still the same. It is already visible from the purchase of 22-year-old Bernardo Silva from AS Monaco, who reportedly will be followed by Benfica goalkeeper Ederson Moraes. Ederson is only 23 years old.

"I think the transition from the squad in this cycle started last year and if you look at the players we brought in last year, we bring youth, talent, speed," City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said.

"I look back on a number of deals last year and that is an indicator of how we rebuild this team, Leroy Sane, the right age, the right talent, one of Europe's most exciting prospects, and two already showing it on the pitch this season.

"John Stones, 22 years old, will be one of the best defenders in the world, I have no doubt about that, a top player."

"Gabriel Jesus, 19, is one of the top talents of the future in the world, so if you look at these three examples, that's what we did last season and that's what you should expect this year," he added.

City do not want to bear the responsibility into the transfer market. Bernardo Silva alone was redeemed with a high value, actually £ 43 million, indicating that they are ready to undertake another major grocer again to significantly boost the squad.

"We will pursue and get some of the best talent in the world to be part of this strategy we are already pursuing. This cycle begins last summer and this summer you should expect the same thing," Khaldoon said.
