Iniesta Want to Play in Barcelona in Untill His Retirement

As is known, his contract left only one season left and until now the club has not offered a contract extension at all. His age is now stepping on 32 years to make the public predict he will not get a new contract and will soon leave the club.

In response to this, an interesting statement was delivered by Andres Iniesta. He also expressed his desire to retire in Barcelona.

"I always say that I really want to retire with Barcelona, I've been here since I was 12 years old," said Iniesta as reported by Marca.

Despite already expressing his desire to retire with the Blaugrana, Iniesta also asserted that he has not planned to take the decision in the near future. He feels he is able to show maximum performance and play at the highest level for the next few years.

Andres Iniesta started his soccer career with Barcelona's soccer academy, La Masia from 1996 to 2001. He included the successful La Masia generation alongside a row of other Barca players such as Xavi Hernandez, Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol.



 Then,he's successfully promoted to the main squad in 2002, since then, his name has never missed a place in the midfield of his team. During the uniform of Barcelona, Iniesta also successfully played in 653 games and scored 65 goals.

Not only that, he is also a vital figure behind the success of his team won various prestigious trophies such as eight La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey trophies, six Supercopa de Espana, four Champions League titles, UEFA Super Cup to the Club World Cup trophy.
