Juventus Prepare Competition Candidate Stephan Lichtsteiner
Juventus aiming Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier in favor of being a competitor to Stephan Lichtsteiner. In addition, I Bianconeri want to make Meunier as a replacement for Dani Alves.
As the first step, I Bianconeri will send representatives to monitor Meunier performance with Belgian national team in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying match at Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium, Sarajevo, against Bosnia, Saturday, October 7, 2017. From that monitoring will be judged, whether he is fit if playing at Juventus.
Juventus are quite likely to get Meunier. Because, 26-year-old player has lost a regular place since the arrival of Dani Alves last summer.
The Brazilian defender left Juventus on a free transfer and is now PSG's mainstay. So far, Juventus have not earned a match for Alves.
Despite having brought Mattia De Sciglio and Benedikt Howedes, the Madame was still not satisfied. Moreover, both are currently still injured so can not contribute.
As for Meunier joining PSG since last summer, after being imported from Club Brugge, for 6 million euros. He is still under contract until June 2020 with the French capital club.
Last season, Meunier had become the mainstay of PSG. But this season, he lacked minutes of play and therefore, it is likely he will consider leaving.
